Digital Downloads

Resolution Options

For AKC and UKC event galleries I offer two options for digital downloads:

I do NOT offer for sale the original RAW files that I shoot.

Low Resolution

The low resolution option should be sufficient for most social media sharing and usage, as well as most website usage.

Medium Resolution

The medium resolution provides a better quality image that would look great as a computer background or screensaver, it would also be great for large images displayed on a website or a digital picture frame. While the description in the cart states that the medium resolution image could be printed to an 8x10 photo, I would NOT recommend doing this.I want to insure that you will have a keepsake that reflects and memorializes the experiences that we have with our working animals. As such, I take great care to provide professional, lasting, and color accurate results. Printing images is an involved, complex process, and using digital downloads for printing on a home computer or even sending it to a lab might not result in the best results.Every image I print is printed using the best in materials, using the original source file, edited by me prior to printing, using a frequently calibrated monitor designed specifically for providing accurate color representation, and even the printer I use is custom calibrated to the specific paper used for the print. The end result is a tangible, lasting image that is true to what I saw through the camera lens that will last years and years for you to display proudly and enjoy.

While printing a medium resolution image is possible, and you may achieve acceptable results, I would urge you to invest in preserving the memory by purchasing a print if that is your desire and using the digital downloads primarily for digital uses.
